Its not rocket science: simple failures to communicate effectively long-term, lack of logistical organization, dismissal by so-called “big media” generally, hyper-patrotism, and fear, both of being libeled as unpatriotic, and reasonable fears, of being fired, suspended, or detained ( which is indenitely, nowadays and which most bosses, even if they sympathize, usually cannot tolerate, more than a few days/weeks absence w/o notice, cannot afford. For instance, in a piece in “The Progressive”, when Fmr. Inspector Scott Ritter was interviewed on his take on the real and perceived failures of the anti-war movement, cited that so far, two major groups, UFPJ and ANSWER, have not attempted to reconicile logistical diifferences and plan together. Though that was not, as the piece cited, the sole basis for his conlusion “....there is no anti-war movement in America.” The fact, or rather dogma, of inlitration of peace groups, by “provocatuers” or “sabateurs”, while sound, has been abused to no end to justify things like protest pits, freech speech zones etc., which will predictably both be supplied at both conventions, or facimlie tactics thereof, obviously does not help. Stauber`s right as he cites the centrist and neutral postering of groups like MoveOn, as further complicating matters.

I think I read somewhere that Obama has an email list rivaling MoveOn’s in size. Anyone know more?
