Despite the bad timing, the business delegation visited New York and Philadelphia, never dreaming that less than 20 years later they own the ports in those key American cities.

Jesus Fucking Christ Anthony, I thought you were a reporter. This drivel should not be a front page article on GNN. You talk all this shit about the articles on GNN’s frontpage needing to be “high quality” and “timely and factual” etc etc yet this shit is on the front page. It contains errors on the most basic of details surrounding the Dubai ports deal, yet claims to impart detailed information about other lesser known aspects of the deal and DPW.

Instead of getting it right to begin with, this article repeats the tired bullshit “DPW now will own/owns major US ports” line that only the grossly uninformed or the willfully ignorant continue to “report” as the truth regarding the ports deal.

One of the most simple details about the ports deal isn’t even reported correctly in this article, and a blatant falsehood is given as a fact instead. That brings the rest of the “information” in the article into question.

Considering how little work it would’ve taken the “crack reporters” to do some research beforehand and find that they could not factually or correctly state “DPW now owns US ports in those key American cities” in their article, because DPW, nor any representative or officer of DPW does not own ANY ports in those key American cities, and will not, even if the DPW/P&O deal is approved by the US government.

Too bad David Phinney and Lee Wang couldn’t bother to contribute some decent research to this article before they allowed their names to be attached to it.

I will say it again since obviously some people missed it.

DPW does not own any US ports in key American cities, nor will they if this ports deal is approved.

No representative, owner, or officer of DPW owns any US ports in key American citites, nor will they if the ports deal is approved.

If/when the port deal is approved, DPW will assume port operations duties at the ports in the key American cities because DPW acquired P&O, the company that currently oversees port operations in these key American cities.

P&O does not own any ports in key American cities, and since being acquired by DPW they have not owned any ports in key American cities.

I guess doing a google search was just too much effort to put into the article. Fuck

Maybe we should believe details about the situation inside Iraq from a report that states Iraq is in Antartcia as a fact.
