Supreme Court Upholds Invasion of Privacy

Monday a supreme court in the United States upheld the cheek swabbing of arrested or jailed individuals in order to obtain DNA samples. The decision was a complete division for the justices that came to the decision.

From Boston.Com:

‘‘Make no mistake about it: because of today’s decision, your DNA can be taken and entered into a national database if you are ever arrested, rightly or wrongly, and for whatever reason,’’ conservative Justice Antonin Scalia said in a sharp dissent which he read aloud in the courtroom. ‘‘This will solve some extra crimes, to be sure. But so would taking your DNA when you fly on an airplane — surely the TSA must know the ‘identity’ of the flying public. For that matter, so would taking your children’s DNA when they start public school.’’

Just another invasion of our privacy and loss of civil rights.

Thomas voted opposite of Scalia? Must not have read his instructions correctly.

Ever sense Obama started doing as he pleases I have quit following the law myself its wonderful to do as I please, Thank you Obama for the lawlessness that I now enjoy…

Lance says:

For what its worth, privacy does not exist in this modern “civilization”. Everything you say, post, or do is being monitored, recorded, and stored in your “profile”. The surveillance systems are right in front of you. The laptop I’m using can recognize me in many ways. Keystrokes and the bio-electric touchpad are two ways. It has a camera and a microphone on it as well. Those “smart” devices you hold in your hand, the “smart” TV’s you have on your wall, the “smart” gaming system you play games on, they are all part of a gigantic interconnected surveillance system. Artificial intelligence knows who you are. It knows everything about you. How does it get this “intelligence”? Do you post your “opinions” on Twitter or Facebook, or any of the other “social media” websites? Do you “reply” to articles on websites, just like this one? There is much more to this than most realize! You think that your thinking is “independent” but, is it really? What influences your thinking without you realizing that its happening? Might want to re-think what you’re thinking because you’re being programmed without even realizing its happening!
