According to The Economist the use of online tools for crime is on the rise. Apparently organized crime has taken the advances in tools available online in stride. The article cites Shawn Henry, formerly of the FBI, as saying that a company recently had an entire 10 year, 1 billion dollar study stolen in a single night.
It is also interesting that the Economist interviewed an individual named “Tyler Durden” for the article. According to the article Tyler Durden works for Kaspersky Labs. Given the content of the article (found here) it brings to mind a character by the same name from a movie called “Fight Club“.
