It has been scientifically proven that certain types of exercise boost the production of HGH (human growth hormone) in the human body. Claims of a 20 minute workout have been touted, but current studies prove that the method actually works. The 20 minute workout, and apparently the 7 minute workout are no longer relegated to the late night infomercial.
Called high intensity training (by Dr. Mercola and some others), it is also said to have age-related effects.
“… Our results indicate that leukocyte telomere length (LTL) is preserved in healthy older adults who perform vigorous aerobic exercise and is positively related to maximal aerobic exercise capacity. This may represent a novel molecular mechanism underlying the “anti-aging” effects of maintaining high aerobic fitness.”
