If we’re not, then we’re not looking at the reality of the situation, or we are not taking it seriously. Right about now we should all be preparing our potential routes of evasion and escape, before it is too late. The Halliburton subsidiary KBR (formerly Brown and Root) announced on Jan. 24 that it had been awarded a $385 million contingency contract by the Department of Homeland Security to build detention camps. Two weeks later, on Feb. 6, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced that the Fiscal Year 2007 federal budget would allocate over $400 million to add 6,700 additional detention beds (an increase of 32 percent over 2006). This $400 million allocation is more than a four-fold increase over the FY 2006 budget, which provided only $90 million for the same purpose.
Both the contract and the budget allocation are in partial fulfillment of an ambitious 10-year Homeland Security strategic plan, code-named ENDGAME, authorized in 2003. According to a 49-page Homeland Security document on the plan…

what IS the reality of the situation? that people coming to america illegally without going through the paperwork are gonna be locked up in their own special little detention centers?
that doesn’t cry “ end game “ to me. maybe for illegals, but certainly not americans. did i miss something?
and why is it illegals get more health care than I do. I really don’t give a hoot if people come over here illegally, but it sickens me that in some respects they have more rights than me.
RFK stadium in Washington DC was originally built for basseball and football games, but the government used it to detain thousands of anti-Vietnam War demonstrators. Imagine what the government might do with dozens of real detention centers around the country. Once the federal government has U.S. Marshalls cuff you and put you in chains and leg irons and get you into a detention center you may not be able to get out for years.

that is the part that worries me. we know who has the power to apply that label. and we know who it has been used against. environmentalists. animal rights activists. ect.
basically this means that anyone who threatens the status quo will be labeled a “terrorist” or perhaps an “enemy combatant,” and will be dealt with accordingly.

With all these plans within Bush’s administration already gaining mamontum, it kninda makes you think another election ‘steal’ is on the cards. Please be wrong, please oh please be wrong!

The theme “You are either with us or you are against us” is not going to go away no matter who gets elected. The detention camps may be used to really stifle all dissent after a few more terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, or even just one more. According to my sources, a dirty bomb explosion at an important commercial or office city center is a highly unstoppable “maybe” on the same U.S. intelligence radar screen that let OKC, WTC ’93 and 9/11 get realized.
That happens, even in the middle of the night (so ‘innocent’ people don’t get contaminated) when radiation will be left all over several buildings which will have to remain uninhabited for months, and the stock markets will tank. People will wait on dirty grenade pins and used hypodermic needles for years for the next dirty bomb to drop. Then, the themes of McDonalds, Bayer, Dell, Coke and Pepsi and every company and city will be “You are either with America or you are against America…Have it your way.” Americans who question that will fill the detention centers and there will be no room for Mexicans, Haitians and Jamaican illegals who will be hired by security companies at below minimum wage (just like always).
Lot08, seems like a likely scenario to me. And yeah, tenbob, it doesn’t really matter who wins the elections, especially as even California is allowing in compromised voting machines.
