Summary:

In a startlingly underreported story, The Sunday Times has uncovered new details surrounding the nuclear proliferation racket of “the father” of Pakistan’s bomb – Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Khan’s 2004 announcement that he had sold nuclear secrets to Libya, Iran and North Korea was held up as evidence that America’s “enemies” were actively seeking to acquire nuclear weapons for use against the U.S. homeland. What was not mentioned at the time, however, was that the sensitive information bought up on the Pakistani black market had been leaked to Khan via high-ranking U.S. officials working in the Pentagon and the State Department – using Turkish Intelligence officials as a conduit.

Sibel Edmonds, a 37-year-old former Turkish language translator for the FBI, listened into hundreds of sensitive intercepted conversations while based at the agency’s Washington field office.

She approached The Sunday Times last month after reading about an Al-Qaeda terrorist who had revealed his role in training some of the 9/11 hijackers while he was in Turkey.

Edmonds described how foreign intelligence agents had enlisted the support of US officials to acquire a network of moles in sensitive military and nuclear institutions.

Pretty upsetting that it’ll go nowhere. Look out for Sibel Edmonds being involved in an “unfortunate accident”.

There seem to be intelligence agents who would come forward if that happens, plus she’s got all the info she has stashed in various places ready to be leaked if that happens (I’m assuming)
