Musharraf: Bhutto Bears Responsibility For Death
Pakistan’s government has said Bhutto died when she struck her head on a handle on her vehicle’s sunroof — a contention widely derided in Pakistan where many people suspect Musharraf’s government of complicity. The government has also blamed al Qaeda for the attack.
Bhutto had complained to a acquaintances shortly before she died that the Pakistani government was not meeting her security pleas.

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf conceded that a gunman may have shot Benazir Bhutto but said the opposition leader exposed herself to danger and bore responsibility for her death, CBS News said on Saturday.
Musharraf was also quoted as telling the CBS “60 Minutes” program to be broadcast on Sunday that his government did everything it could to provide security for Bhutto, who was killed last week in a gun and suicide-bomb attack after a political rally.
“For standing up outside the car, I think it was she to blame alone. Nobody else. Responsibility is hers,” Musharraf said in the interview taped on Saturday morning.

Born and raised very humbly in a “small town” in southern California, I was a product of different worlds. Literally, part of my family descends from Mexico the rest from Portugal and Uruguay. This mixture had kept me from supporting any racist psyche found...

Call me crazy but I think Musharraf organized the hit.
Even if he did (organize the hit) he still has a legitimate point in that she exposed herself knowing that she was in danger.
The Psychic Chicken says, “The Bush Administration organized the hit to justify claims that they have to move in because Pakistan can’t help itself”.
Pakistanis see US as greatest threat
By Jim Lobe
WASHINGTON – Amid reports that the administration of US President George W Bush is considering aggressive covert actions against armed Islamist forces in western Pakistan, a new survey released here Monday suggested that such an effort would be opposed by an overwhelming majority of Pakistanis themselves.
The survey, which was funded by the quasi-governmental US Institute of Peace and designed by the University of Maryland’s Program on International Policy Attitudes, also found that a strong majority of Pakistanis consider the US military presence in Asia and neighboring Afghanistan a much more critical threat to their country than al-Qaeda or Pakistan’s own Taliban movement in the tribal regions along the border with Afghanistan.

Sharif is on today’s Amy Show (I haven’t watched it yet) — saying approximately the same thing.
From Amy’s Summary :
We speak with Nawaz Sharif, the deposed twice-elected Pakistani prime minister and onetime arch-rival of Benazir Bhutto. Sharif heads the Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz Party and is now the leading opposition candidate in Pakistan following Bhutto’s assassination. Amy Goodman interviewed Sharif with Reverend Jesse Jackson Sunday on his Keep Hope Alive radio show.

That totally legitimizes the whole fiasco.
Anglo-American Ambitions behind the Assassination of Benazir Bhutto and the Destabilization of Pakistan
About that Sharif interview. He was interviewed by Jesse Jackson. Jesse supports Obama. Obama says he’d have no problem invading Pakistan even against the wishes of the people and or government of Pakistan.
Mushie man, you’d better come up with a realistic opposition candidate pretty damn quick. If you can’t make peace with you know who.
But there isn’t anyone, is there?
Sheisssssssseeeeeee
Poor Jesse. How the mighty have fallen.
If it was Bhutto’s fault, then why the cover-up after the fact of the details surrounding the assassination?
Peace,
My grandfather said to me once, as a small child, “Never believe anything until the government denies it.”
I will consider Musharraf statement(s) in this light regarding Bhutto.that reminds me of the scene in a movie where the dude goes, “bitch, dont make me have to hit you… fuck! now see what you gone and done?”
I wasn’t trying to legitimize anything, but she undeniably put herself in danger, and as an existentialist I would have to say that for that she bears some of the responsibility for her own Death. I would put it in even stronger terms if we were talking about Michael Collins.
makes martin luther, marilyn monroe and malcolm x look like complete ponies, eh?
Only if they took no precauctions
