Battle In Seattle
Headlines : "War on Terror"
Summary:

They want him to hurry up and label a large part of Iran’s army an international “terrorist” entity for allegedly supplying Iraqi insurgents with bombs that have killed American troops. Despite a warning from Sen. Jim Webb that the Senate vote could be read as another war resolution, Democratic presidential hopeful Clinton jumped onboard the bandwagon, again.

Hillary Clinton and 75 other senators apparently feel that George W. Bush hasn't been belligerent enough toward Iran.

So let me see if I’ve got this right: Hillary Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner for the presidential nomination, is demanding that George W. Bush take a more belligerent posture toward Iran.

In her view – and that of 75 other members of the U.S. Senate – President Bush hasn’t been aggressive or hasty enough in designating a large part of the Iranian military, the Revolutionary Guards, as an international terrorist organization.

The Senate resolution, approved on Sept. 26, recounts allegations that elements of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have supplied Iraqi Shiite militias with “explosively formed penetrator” bombs that have shattered U.S. armored vehicles and killed American troops.

In response, the Senate resolution calls on President Bush to list the Revolutionary Guards as “specially designated global terrorists.” In opposing the resolution, Sen. James Webb, D-Virginia, warned that the move could be tantamount to a declaration of war.

Despite Webb’s protest, 29 Democrats joined Republicans and neoconservative Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut to pass the “sense of the Senate” resolution. The Democrats egging Bush on included Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, California’s Dianne Feinstein and Michigan’s Carl Levin.

Military Industrial Complex.

All these wars, fighting for our “freedom,” are nothing more than rich men’s wars, and a poor man’s burden. With of course, all the economic gain going towards the war mongers, while all the pain of warfare falls on the American troops and Iraqi civilians.

Viva la resistencia..

Regarding this latest threat to peaceful endeavors, I have demanded an explanation from my senator (k.salazar) regarding the open-ended nature of the resolution juxtaposed with the prior precedent of congress handing over the right to make war to the measurably hawkish executive.

As always, I suspect I will be able to add the brief response (which will be just barely customized to match my highly original communique, & likely written by a staffer) to the ever-growing portfolio of failed attempts at change through open, honest democratic communication via official channels. We can’t tell the younger generations that we ‘couldn’t make change despite best attempts…” unless some kind of record exists…we are moving through the ‘cutting edge’ into an Orwellian model of data-driven decisions. What has been erased does not exist. Thus we must record why people say they do things…lest they later amend their alleged rationales for discovered problems…...

Hillary. What a sockpuppet. They’re all toasted on the International Stage. Won’t be long before even The French won’t be seen with ‘em.

i agree with dilated rebel, Dwight D. Eisenhower would be shitting his balls. i’m not surprised because arms companies finance her campaign. obama would probably do the same even though he has painted himself as a liberal.
