Nigeria files criminal charges against Pfizer
Pfizer, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies is at the sharp end of a lawsuit and now has been criminally charged by the Nigerian government.
The Nigerian government claims Pfizer was deceptive with the details of the tests which resulted in the deaths of 11 children. It is believed Pfizer treated Nigerians as guinea pigs by administering experimental drugs to children during a 1996 meningitis outbreak. Pfizer denies all allegations.
