The Redirection: U.S. Developing Contingency Plan to Bomb Iran
The preparations for war with Iran continue. First the weapons, then al-Sadr. We must mobilize now, internationally, to oppose this new war, and quickly. If the air strikes go awry, and a land invasion becomes necessary, they will restore the draft. It’s the only possible way they could pull it off. They’re already barely getting by, after lowering their standards for recruits repeatedly. This is about more than oil, gas, & geo-strategic “full spectrum” (global) dominance. This is about the hegemony of the dollar on the world market.
As I’ve said before, if they have to choose between restoring the draft, which risks inciting domestic insurrection, and losing their geo-strategic and economic hegemony around the globe, they’ll quickly choose the former.

A Strategic Shift
In the past few months, as the situation in Iraq has deteriorated, the Bush Administration, in both its public diplomacy and its covert operations, has significantly shifted its Middle East strategy. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda.
One contradictory aspect of the new strategy is that, in Iraq, most of the insurgent violence directed at the American military has come from Sunni forces, and not…

While publicly pushing for a new UN Security Council resolution with tougher economic and diplomatic sanctions against Tehran, the US is also pressing ahead with preparations for a military attack on Iran.
Bush’s Future Iran War Speech: Sometime this spring or summer, barring an unexpected turnaround by Tehran, President Bush is likely to go on national television and announce that he has ordered American ships and aircraft to strike at military targets inside Iran.
